A Brief History:

Gibson® produced the Flying V® as part of their modernist line of guitars offering a futuristic body style, it was released in 1958. Originally adopted by blues guitarists like Albert Kind, it later became a popular model for heavy metal popularized by guitarists such as Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammet, and James Hetfield.
